Saying Bye to President Meredith

Street Art Everywhere
Hello!
With Elder Eh and President and Sister Meredith
This week these things happened! We went on exchanges - Elder Day came to my area with me and we had a good day where we went to downtown Oakland to talk with people and we tried to find some to serve from the City Center which is super nice! Then we went all the way down to Fremont and then we saw this huge cloud of black smoke... so we followed a fire-engine and there were about 9 or 10 on scene!

So we said good bye to our president Meredith (who is over our mission for a few more days now) at our zone conference. The new mission president will be here soon and his name is President Frandsen! In the conference they told us to eat healthy as virtually all missionaries within 9 months of starting their missions are malnutritioned!
Saying Goodbye to the Pascual Family

On Saturday our plans fell through a little so we decided to try to find a member who lived in a super rich area in Oakland! It was very weird to see that. We decided to tract there which didn't seem to be so successful but we talked to a lot of people and had fun doing that. In the evening Justin came with us and we were a little stuck as the people we had planned to see for some reasons were all former investigators who we think speak more Cambodian than English - Justin and us only know a little Cambodian so we were stuck.

We went to visit one less active member and as we arrived we saw that the house had no lights on. We decided to park and knock anyway. We then saw a man outside and started talking with him.  He ended up being the less active member we were looking for and he said it was a miracle how we just showed up out of the blue as he had been praying for help and there we were! This is not a coincidence.

Fire!
Who are we teaching right now? We are teaching Pream and his family - they are Buddhist right now and they are so kind! Each time we come they offer us food and I love that we can build a good relationship with everyone we visit! We are also teaching Thorn who is slowly changing his life for the better. Another person is Sierra who is a recent convert! Our goal is to help her go to the temple to do baptisms when the temple opens again. She also just recently invited her cousin who we watched "Meet The Mormons" with on Sunday! Her name is Lyana! We gave her a Book of Mormon and she was reading it after we left!

Elder Day Tracting
I know the Book of Mormon is the Word of God along with the Bible which we believe to be true as far as it is translated correct. I know it is true by experience. It is solid evidence that God lives and that Jesus has suffered for us - which makes it possible for us to return to live with God again - which I know is true. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
